OUR GOAL TODAY : YOUR SUCCESS TOMORROW

Facing a promising future in a joint effort

Although we cannot predict the future, we can prepare ourselves today for the challenges of tomorrow. As an innovation driver, we are constantly investing in the development of state-of-the-art technology and the improvement of our logistics solutions and services in order to be able to react flexibly to new requirements. We want to be the benchmark in the pharmaceutical logistics industry, and we are aligning all our activities to this goal. In concrete terms, this means that we set standards in terms of safety and technology, but above all we invest in the training and further education of our employees.

Success only lasts if it is sustainable. If it is achieved together with the customer. That is why our solutions and services are always individual, tailored to the requirements of our customers. It goes without saying that we do not compromise on quality and flexibility. Our seamless supply chain solutions ensure that we always comply with the strict legal regulations, as well as GMP and GDP guidelines, even with the highest degree of individuality. Customer satisfaction: our recipe for success today as well as in the future.

Philosophy

Our mentality has always been to look today at new ways of doing things tomorrow, to permanently invest in the development of the latest technology, and to strive for improvements in our logistics solutions and services in order to be able to respond flexibly to new requirements. We pursue this goal undeterred in order to maintain the cold chain without any gaps, to guarantee product integrity and thus to maximize patient safety. In doing so, we keep an eye on national as well as international trends.

Vision

Logistics is one of the innovation-driving economic sectors of the future. There is hardly any other sector where new application developments are put into practice as consistently as in the logistics industry. Industrialization 4.0 is having an all-encompassing impact on the digitalization of logistics. Whether the use of artificial intelligence or smart devices in the warehouse or the permanent further development of intelligent telematics systems in transport: our vision is to convey awareness of the use of these technologies to the next generation of employees. Real-time capability, scalability, security and flexibility are the future-oriented projects to which we are dedicated and with whose help we want to contribute to increasing the resilience of the pharma cool chain.

Mission

Our mission is to achieve these visionary goals together with you, taking into account all previously mentioned factors. The first step was to establish the now proven Frigo-Trans Quality Management System, which is geared towards ensuring GDP compliance in all areas:

Standard operating procedures are followed, updated, approved and documented, and available to all.

All Frigo-Trans employees involved in the Pharma Supply Chain processes are trained in GDP regulations.

All transport contractors are selected according to the requirements, regularly trained, evaluated and guided.

is an integral part of the Frigo-Trans service portfolio (transportation, storage and distribution).

All deviations and complaints are documented, processed and communicated.

All Frigo-Trans warehouses that manage healthcare products are GDP qualified.

For us, GDP compliance is not a „nice to have“ – it’s a must!

HISTORY

Frigo-Trans has been developing innovative logistics solutions for the special requirements of the pharmaceutical industry since 1988. With customer-specific concepts and transports, we are on the road for you throughout Europe.

Between 1988 and 1992, Frigo-Trans initially had its headquarters in Frankenthal, Palatinate, in the private home of Walter Buchholz, the company’s founder. At the beginning of 1993, the company moved to new premises for the first time. With the joining of Peter Norheimer in the company in 1994, a sustainable growth process was started, which was accommodated in 2005 with another move to larger premises within the town.

In the following six years, the company had followed a consistently positive development and already in 2011 it became apparent that the trend would continue to go upwards. To accommodate this trend, the entrepreneurial decision was made to move out of the previously rented premises in Frankenthal and to venture the multi-million investment of building a completely new site.

Thus, in September 2013, the groundbreaking ceremony for a new company headquarters took place. Since the beginning of 2015, the Frigo-Trans group of companies has been operating administratively and operationally from a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical logistics hub, which started operations in the middle of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region in Fußgönheim, also in the Palatinate region.

In mid-2018, the course was set anew for a long-term future. Walter Buchholz and Peter Norheimer withdrew from day-to-day business and transferred responsibility for the company’s management to Reiner Roß and Martin Krasinski at the beginning of 2019. Both had been active for many years as operational division managers and authorized officers.
